I’m back on the road after performing last November in Madrid, but this time I’m up for something a bit different: a few months traveling around Latin America, researching the implementation of the Viral web platform and developing my own nomadic art project. In partnership with the portuguese House of Latin America and Porto’s City Hall, the Sound Escapes project combines travel writing, sound art and field recording. More news about that to follow.
My first stop in beautiful America was Tulum, in Mexico’s East Coast, a caribbean paradise where I already met some wonderful places and people such as Isaac and the Residencia Gorila crew, and where I reunited with Nuno Carneiro from my hometown Porto, who happens to be the current resident DJ of the Papaya Playa Project — a charming eco-resort known for its stunning beach club and warm, welcoming parties.
Next Saturday Papaya presents a Full Moon Party not to be missed, where I’ll be performing along Daniel Trickski from Sonar Kollektive and Permanent Vacation, residents Nuno Carneiro and Moses (who is also from Porto) and Erick Martinez. Definitely looking forward to the great music, lovely atmosphere and tons of pirate beach fun: let’s go!
